Hi, my name is Carson Young. I'm a current student and current student body president at Fort Lewis College coming at you with some frequently asked questions regarding meal plans and the dining hall.
Now, how do you get a meal plan? Well, when you're going through the housing application, a portion of the application asks you what kind of meal plan you would want, 10 meals a week, 14 meals a week, or 19 meals a week, and you can choose accordingly there. Now don't feel too locked in. You have about two to three weeks up until census date to be able to choose a meal plan that better fits you if you happen to mis-choose the first time. And so you can take that time, be able to see how many meals you're going through a week, and then change your meal plan accordingly.
Now, how do you access your meal plan? Well, every student has a Sky Card. This is mine. So when you're going to the dining hall, you'll just swipe it real quick. It'll take a meal off however many meals you have, and it'll reset at the end of the week, and you'll just swipe to get in for whichever meal that you want as long as you have meals.
Now, what happens if you're going in to the dining hall and you have allergies or any dietary restrictions? Well, the dining hall staff are happy to help you out in any way they can to make sure that you're able to leave the dining hall happy and full afterwards, so that you can always have a meal at the dining hall.
Now, how much does a meal plan cost? So you can go to the housing portion of our website, fortlewis.edu, and that will have all the different housing options along with meal plan options and how much they cost and what you get out of them a little bit more in depth. Thanks for stopping by. Bye.
